Clinical Readiness Checklist
You're ready when...
- I have a risk protocol
I know when to initiate emergency services, how to confirm and document a client's location during a telehealth crisis, keeping emergency contacts and local resources on hand, and having a plan if a client goes silent or disappears mid-session. This also includes knowing how to respond to clients who report risk concerns ahead of or between sessions, report an adverse event if I learn of one, and where to find mandated reporting obligations. See Preparing For And Responding To Clinical Risk, Emergency Resources, Recognizing And Documenting Adverse Events, and Mandated Reporting Requirements.
- I know how to assess and plan for safety
I know how to assess and safety-plan with an at-risk client on Grow's platform, including administering and interpreting suicide-specific assessment tools like the C-SSRS, and building a collaborative safety plan and sharing that with the client (Safety Plan FAQ).
- I know how to refer clients to a higher level of care
I know Grow can support IOP-level referrals through our Care Coordination Program; inpatient and other higher levels of care above IOP rest with the clinician to coordinate.
- I understand measurement-informed care (MIC) basics
I understand outcome measures (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7) are a standard part of care at Grow and may already be completed by the client before our first session — see the Measurement-Informed Care & Outcomes collection for how to review and use them.
- I have reviewed Grow's Clinical Best Practices & Provider Standards
- I know how to determine clients' telehealth appropriateness & Grow's requirements for my location and practicing across state lines
